Ann Johnson is an experienced educator and leader, with over 15 years of dedicated service to the field of education. Her career began as a Special Education Teacher, where she spent five years working in classrooms, developing a passion for supporting students with special needs. Driven by her own personal experiences, Ann expanded her leadership role in education, transitioning into administrative positions. She served as both Assistant Principal and Principal, where she focused on creating inclusive, supportive environments for all students.
Ann’s journey in education was deeply influenced by her daughter, who has special needs. Her daughter’s experiences and challenges were the inspiration for Ann to establish Cherubim DTP, an organization designed to support and empower families and individuals with special needs. As the President and Founder of Cherubim DTP, Ann is deeply dedicated to supporting adults with special needs through Cherubim DTP. Her role as President and Founder highlights her commitment to ensuring that individuals in this community receive the care and resources they need to thrive. Offering both Residential Services and Day Program Services a holistic approach, providing a combination of supportive living arrangements and structured activities that promote independence, socialization, and skill development.
Ann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Elmhurst University and a Master’s in Education Leadership from National Louis University. Her unique combination of educational expertise, leadership experience, and personal connection to the special education community has positioned her as a passionate advocate for the rights and
needs of students with disabilities.
